How to Apply

All interested applicants are required to use PharmCAS (Pharmacy College Application Service), a web-based application service, to submit their applications, official transcripts, and letters of recommendation. This services also allows applicants to submit a single application to apply to multiple PharmD programs. The deadline for submitting the PharmCAS application, references, and transcripts for 2011-2012 is March 1, 2011.

Letters of Recommendation
ACP requires three letters of recommendation, two of which must come from a science professor and a pharmacist. ACP does not accept evaluations from friends, family members, co-workers, or politicians. You will need to submit your letters of recommendation through PharmCAS using the Electronic Letters of Reference (eLOR) tool. More instructions are available on the PharmCAS website.

Supplemental Application
In addition to submitting the required information through PharmCAS, each applicant must complete a supplemental application DOC file, which will be submitted directly to ACP. A non-refundable fee of $100 must accompany the supplemental application. The deadline for submission for the supplemental application for 2011-2012 is March 1, 2011. Late applications will NOT be considered.

Deadlines
PharmCAS and supplemental applications for admission for the Fall 2011 semester are due March 1, 2011. Although applications will be accepted through the deadline, it is recommended that you submit your application, with official transcripts, as early as possible. An early application receives stronger consideration.

Fees
Applicants to the ACP must pay a supplemental application processing fee of $100. This fee is non-refundable, and is in addition to fees paid directly to PharmCAS.

Students granted admission will receive a written offer from the Dean. Students offered admission have 10 working days to notify ACP, in writing, whether they wish to have a place reserved in the class. The student's written acceptance of ACP's offer must be accompanied by a check or money order for $1,000, payable to ACP, to reserve a seat in the class. This money will be credited to the first semester's tuition for the first year of enrollment.

On-Campus Interview
After evaluating candidate files, the Admissions Committee will invite selected candidates for on-campus interviews. Candidates are interviewed by a panel typically consisting of at least one ACP faculty member and one pharmacist. During the interview, the panel will assess the candidate's oral communication skills, motivation, compassion, professionalism, leadership, and team working skills. Candidates selected for an interview can expect to spend a full day at ACP.

Criminal Background Checks Policy
ACP requires that all accepted students must submit to a criminal background check prior to matriculation. ACP Criminal Background Checks Policy PDF file

Deferred Admission
Students electing to defer their offer of admission must make this request one month prior to matriculation. Students may request to defer an offer of admission once and that deferral is only valid for the next academic year.
