Health Education
The term Health Education can also refer to the process of educating health professionals, to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health. The ultimate aim of Health Education is Positive Behavioural Modification.
Health Advocacy
Encompasses direct service to the individual or family as well as activities that promote health and access to health care in communities and the larger public. Advocates support and promote the rights of the patient in the health care arena, help build capacity to improve community health and enhance health policy initiatives focused on available, safe and quality care.
Health Care Provision
Direct service with the patient and working in a Pharmacy, Hospital, or in retail pharmacy. The term Health Care Provision can also refer to Providing Health Care the process of educating patients and the families on the medications and services.
Health Service Planning
To plan and be involved in the pharmacy, clinic, program or organization that provides direct service or contact with patients. This may include: RAM, Diabetes testing or Brown Bags.
Health Event Organization
To plan and be involved in events as in March of Dimes and Relay for Life.
