Rules and Requirements
- Make sure your activity is approved.
- All service activities must have prior approval from the Director of PICS except official ACP events.
- Official ACP events are events sponsored by ACP, events where student participation is required by the curriculum or events coordinated by the PICS director.
- Official events do not include individual, student group or faculty initiated events.
- Keep a record of the hours you volunteered – write it down.
- Keep a record of the number of individuals you served while volunteering.
- Complete the PICS form
posted online.
- The PICS reflective writing is required on ALL submissions.
- The reflective writing will be evaluated for the quality of professional communication as well as professional identity and motivation to serve.
- Reflective writing may be returned for revision if found insufficient.
- Be sure to answer the question posed by the reflective writing question.
- Submit the PICS form electronically as an email attachment sent to pics@acpharm.org.
- Please keep a copy for your own records.
- You will receive a return receipt for the electronic submission.
- Complete the form fully.
- List your supervisors name and telephone number.
- Allow a week to 10 days from the return receipt received after your submission for posting on SonisWEB.
- Posting to SonisWEB will be made on a weekly basis but no less than 10 days after receipt and review by the PICS director.
- Currently, the PICS office is backed up but we are working to get these hours posted and current.
- Your PICS forms MUST be turned in within thirty (30) days of the activity.
- Forms submitted beyond thirty (30) days from the date of the activity will be rejected.
**Remember – PICS hours a requirement for graduation. Anyone who does not have 150 hours at the time of graduation will not meet ACP’s graduation requirements and will not be permitted to graduate until the requirement is fulfilled.**
